Google Business Profile FAQs

What is a Google Business Profile checklist?

It is a practical audit of the fields that decide whether a shop appears in Google Maps and the local pack: name, categories, NAP, hours, photos, services, posts, reviews, and Q&A. This tool scores those fields and gives a short action list.

Is this the same as GEO or regular SEO?

No. This checklist is for the Google listing itself. Classic local SEO covers the website and citations. GEO covers whether AI answer engines can cite the brand. Run this first, then the GEO Visibility Checklist.

How often should I update a Google Business Profile?

Reply to new reviews within two days, post weekly, refresh photos every quarter, and re-check hours before holidays. A listing that looks abandoned loses the pack even if the website is fine.

Can I keyword-stuff the business name?

Do not add city or service words that are not on the door. Google suspends stuffed names. Put those terms in the primary category, additional categories, services, and description instead.
