Keyword Placement Checker
Prove the keyword actually lands — title, H1, first 100 words, subheads, meta and slug, scored instantly in your browser.
What this tool gives you
Check one page
Fill the fields from your page. Analysis runs locally in your browser — nothing is sent anywhere.
Body tags are stripped before counting, so pasting the raw HTML works too.
Where a keyword should live
Placement beats repetition. The phrase belongs where humans and machines look first — then repeats naturally.
Title, up front
The exact phrase in the first 60 characters is the strongest on-page signal.
H1 match
Title and H1 aligned tells crawlers the page delivers what it promises.
First 100 words
The intro should state the topic before the reader — or the parser — scrolls.
One subheading
An h2 or h3 that repeats the phrase segments the page topically.
Meta description
Doesn’t rank, but Google bolds query matches — better snippets, better clicks.
Slug
A keyword in the URL is a mild, durable relevance signal.
How to use the checker
Fill the fields from one page, then close the placement gaps heavy to light.
Enter the keyword
One exact phrase — the query the page is meant to win.
Paste the page parts
Title, H1, meta, URL and body. Missing fields just fail their own check.
Fix top-down
Title first, then H1 and intro — the slots with the most weight.
The seven placement slots
Ranked by weight — a keyword stuffed in the body but absent from the title rarely ranks.
| Slot | Target | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Title tag | exact, first 60 chars | The heaviest on-page relevance signal and the snippet headline. |
| H1 | exact match | Confirms title promise and page body say the same thing. |
| First 100 words | at least one use | Classifies the page before readers — or parsers — scroll away. |
| Subheadings | one h2/h3 echo | Segments the page so sections can rank for the phrase. |
| Meta description | natural inclusion | Query bolding in results lifts click-through from the same rank. |
| URL slug | hyphenated phrase | A mild, durable hint that survives page moves poorly otherwise. |
| Body | 0.3–5% exact | Enough repetition to be topical, too little to read as spam. |

Keyword placement FAQs
Where should a focus keyword appear on a page?
In the title near the front, the H1, the first 100 words, at least one subheading, the meta description and the URL slug. Placement in those slots matters more than raw repetition in the body.
What is a healthy keyword density?
There is no magic percentage. Write naturally, then check that the exact phrase appears a few times without repetition that reads as stuffing — this checker flags bodies above roughly five percent.
Does this tool send my content anywhere?
No. Every check runs on your device in the browser. Paste title, H1, meta and body text, read the map, and fix the failing slots in your own CMS.
